Prusa MINI+
=============================== ++++++++++++ MINI+ ++++++++++++ $350 (kit) - $400 (built with very minor assembly) ===============================
Prusa MINI+:
- Pros:
- Inexpensive (relatively)
- Very quick assembly (built version)
- Get printing relatively quickly
- Includes mesh bed leveling probe
- Includes flexible build plate (though suggest buying more)
- Large community on the Internet
- Unparalled support from Prusa
- Uses very standard E3D parts and nozzles
- Includes Gummy Bears!
- Cons:
- 1-arm gantry may require some adjusting
- Smaller build volume than Ender 3 or MK3S+ (180*180*181)
- no good upgrades to handle printing TPU (flexibles)
- lead time from order to delivery
THE PRINTER:
- mostly built (what I bought)
- kit
=============================== Options for Prusa MINI+ ===============================
Highly recommended:
-
- I have this on my MINI+ and the MK3S+ includes one in it’s base config
-
Plated nozzle or hardened nozzle if you want to print abrasives (as listed above)
- anyone selling E3D nozzles will work but watch out for clones
- hardened steel
- Nozzle X alledgely better than above
- (I have hardened on MK3S+ and Nozzle X on MINI+ and don’t see a difference IMO)
Extra build plates:
Recommended ONLY if you see a problem:
- Extruder upgrade:
- BondTech extruder upgrade, but from US shipping saving you a ton
of time and some money instead of coming from Germany
- Squishworx (with filament sensor you buy above)
- (well you should buy the filament sensor and just get the above if you need it)
- BondTech extruder upgrade, but from US shipping saving you a ton
of time and some money instead of coming from Germany
